A large family villa made legible through one central court.
The court brings daylight into the centre and gives the upper-floor bedrooms a quiet outlook. Patna is in seismic Zone IV, so the long spans around the court were detailed for ductility and signed off by an independent structural consultant before a column was cast.
The family had fixed the griha pravesh for the morning after Chhath, which set the programme backwards from a date nobody was going to move. Interior and site teams coordinated stone, joinery and lighting before any finish was released for purchase.
